The Do Dham pilgrimage Yatra to Badrinath and Yamunotri takes you to the holy abodes of lord Vishnu and goddess Yamuna. These 2 holy temples form 2 of the most crucial ancient temples in the Char Dham Yatra circuit. The trip goes on for 8 days / 7 nights and starts from Delhi and takes you through some of the most important and significant holy places for Char Dham Yatra. Where Badrinath is located on the banks of the holy Alaknanda River on the other hand Yamunotri marks the beginning point of river Yamuna.
Day 1Delhi – Haridwar
Early in the morning you will be made to depart from Delhi to reach your first destination in the itinerary i.e. Haridwar. This will be a road journey of around 6 hours which is very smooth as well. On reaching and after getting checked in to your hotel you shall be made to go out for some casual, brief sightseeing and of course the beautiful Ganga Aarti. You will be staying the night at Haridwar.
Day 2 Haridwar – Barkot
Early in the morning after having your breakfast you will be made t head on to your next destination of Barkot, i.e. the starting point for Yamunotri Dham. This will be a road journey of around 8 to 9 hours and on reaching you shall be made to check in to your allotted hotels for an overnight stay.
Day 3 Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot
Early in the morning from Barkot you shall be made to head on to your trail of Yamunotri. For this you may choose to either walk or hire a pony or a Palki service which is required to cover almost 8 kms of the walking trail leading up to the temple. After the Darshan you shall be made to head back to your hotel in Barkot for an overnight stay.
Day 4 Barkot – Rudraprayag
Early in the morning after breakfast you shall be made to head on to your next destination at Rudraprayag. This will be a very beautiful and scenic journey of around 9 to 10 hours by road since it is located at a distance of 200 kms. On reaching you will be checked in to your hotel here for an overnight stay.
Day 5 Rudraprayag – Badrinath
After breakfast early in the morning you will be made to depart from Rudraprayag to Badrinath Dham via Joshimath. This will be a journey of around 7 hours. On reaching you shall immediately be taken for a Darshan at Badrinath Dham along with an evening Aarti procession. After that you will be checked in to your hotel in Badrinath for an overnight stay.
Day 6 Badrinath – Joshimath
Early in the morning after breakfast you shall be transferred to your next destination of Joshimath. This will be a beautiful 40 kms of journey. Upon your arrival and post getting checked in to your accommodation here you will be taken for a brief day of sightseeing to all the nearby places of tourist attractions. You shall be staying for the night in Joshimath.
Day 7 Joshimath – Rudraprayag – Devprayag – Rishikesh
After breakfast early in the morning you shall be made to head out to Rishikesh. The journey will be via Rudraprayag and Devprayag. Overall this will be a journey of around 9 hours by road. You will be made to see the holy confluences of Rudraprayag and Devprayag en route. On arrival in Rishikesh you shall be checked in to your allotted accommodation facility for an overnight stay.
Day 8 Rishikesh – Delhi Departure
After having your breakfast in the morning you will be made to head back to Delhi from Rishikesh. On reaching our tour representative will drop you off at the point of departure marking the end of your Do Dham trip of Badrinath and Yamunotri.
