Chardham Yatra, which many people of India believe is a journey to find your self-worth and realize your path in this world, and maybe pursue a chance to salvation, ultimately. During this journey, one is supposed to walk four spiritual abodes of the almighty perfectly tucked away in the wilderness of the Himalayas.

The first abode is Yamunotri – where Goddess Yamuna is worshipped and the temple also rows down a stream of river Yamuna. Next, you will walk up to the spiritual abode of Goddess Ganga – Gangotri and according to a very sacred Hindu Mythology, the river Ganga descended towards Earth from here for the first time. And similarly, the third abode is of Lord Shiva – Kedarnath, which people say always helps you sought out life, Badrinath – gives you the spiritual glimpse of Lord Vishnu and many falls for its natural beauty.

Day 1: Delhi – Haridwar – Attend Ganga Aarti in Haridwar

As per the planned schedule, you will be asked to report at a venue from where you will embark on this spiritual journey of Chardham Yatra. Then, after the tour operator will brief about some of the guidelines that you need to follow during this journey, you will embark towards Haridwar which will be your first halt.

On reaching Haridwar, first, you will check-in to your hotel room and enjoy a short break. Then, you will leave for Ganga Aarti which is performed every day around 6 at Har-Ki-Pauri. Many Popular saints of Haridwar perform this sacred ritual and worship Goddess Ganga ardently.

After this, you will be driven back to your hotel room.

Day 2 : Haridwar – Camping at Barkot

Today, you will resume your spiritual journey and will take your second halt at Barkot which is a small town in Uttarkashi. Barkot is famous for hiding a mesmerizing view of many of the famous Himalayan Peaks like Bandarpoonch. And, it located on the banks of the river Yamuna and is home to many small deities. So, this town will be a great camping experience for those who haven’t had this experience before while admiring the view of the Himalayas.

But you will also have a stopover at Mussoorie where you will enjoy the sight of Kempty Fall. Mussoorie, a beautiful hill station where lots of family and couple come to enjoy the solitude of Mountains.

On reaching Barkot, you will be allotted your tents and with that, the rest of the day you can explore nearby places on your one.

Day 3 :Barkot – Darshan at Yamunotri – Barkot

After breakfast, you will leave for Hanuman Chatti which is only 40 km away from Barkot. In Hanuman Chatti, you will have a short stopover as this is also a very spiritualistic town on your way to Yamunotri. Here, you will visit the Hanuman Chatti Temple built at the confluence of river Hanuman Ganga and Yamuna.

Then, you will leave for the base point of Yamunotri which is Janki Chatti and it is only 8 km away from here. On reaching there you will start your 6 km trek to Yamunotri Temple.

On your way, you will register the pristine beauty of the Himalayas. When you will reach the Yamunotri, you will be given your Darshan Passes and with that, you will pay homage to Goddess Yamuna.

Then, you will trek down to Janki Chatti and you will be driven back to the campsite in Barkot where you will enjoy another night under the glittering stars.

Day 4 :Barkot – Uttarkashi

Today, you will leave for Uttarkashi which is a town near to Gangotri and is another beautiful yet spiritual town in Uttarakhand. On reaching Uttarkashi, you will once again go through some formalities while checking in to your hotel rooms and enjoy the rest of the day.

Later in the evening, you will visit the famous Vishwanath Temple in this town and pay your homage to Lord Shiva.
Then, enjoy your overnight stay in Uttarkashi.

Day 5Uttarkashi – Darshan at Gangotri – Uttarkashi

Today, you will enjoy early morning breakfast and after that, you will drive to Gangotri. The Gangotri temple is elevated at an impressing height of 3,048 m above the sea and is famous because people believe that it was this place from where River Ganga descended to earth at this spot.

And, many pilgrims come here to pay their homage to the statue of Goddess Ganga and ask for a prosperous life. You can also take a holy dip in the river Ganga here and then, can go for Darshan. After Darshan, you will drive back to Uttarkashi where you spent another night.

Day 6 :Uttarkashi – Next stay at Guptkashi

Today, you will be driving towards Kedarnath – the spiritual abode of Lord Shiva. But, because for Kedarnath, you will have to cover a very long-distance so, you will stay at Guptkashi tonight and enjoy your overnight stay.

On reaching Guptkashi, you will check-in to your hotel room and then, the rest of the day is at your disposal to either wander around this small town or just sleep it off.

Day 7 :Guptkashi – Darshan of Kedarnath

Another exciting day of the tour where you will cover the popular Zuthulphuk trek and add some enthralling memories to your life. Zuthulphuk trek is longer than the one you covered the day before and it is going to take almost 10-12 hours to complete the trekking trail. Also, you will get the opportunity to walk along the gorgeous Dolma La Pass which offers its guests with the eye-treating views of the surroundings. Before it gets dark try going back to the residential area of Zuthulphuk to accommodate yourself.

After breakfast, firstly, you will drive to Gauri Kund which is a base point of Kedarnath. In Gauri Kund, there is a very sacred hot water spring where people take a bath before embarking on a long trekking journey to Kedarnath. While walking towards the spiritual abode of Lord Shiva, you may feel all kind of ecstatic and also, admire the natural beauty of this place.

For Kedarnath Temple, you will have to walk about 16 km of distance upward towards Mandakini Mountain. Once you reach there, you will also have to stand in a short queue to worship an old statue of Lord Shiva.
After Darshan, you will spend the whole night at this holy place in a tent.

Day 8 :Kedarnath – Drive back to Guptkashi

Today, you can join the temple for an early morning Aarti ritual and after that, you will walk your way back to Gauri Kund. Many says that around 4’o clock in the morning, the temple is nearly empty and people can have a very satisfying Darshan during that time.

On reaching Gauri Kund, you will be driven back to Guptkashi where you will spend tonight and mostly, destress yourself from today’s trekking journey.

Day 9 :Guptkashi – Joshimath – Darshan of Badrinath

Today, you will resume your journey for Badrinath via Joshimath where the spiritual abode of Lord Vishnu breaths. It will again be a 3 to 4 hours long journey and you will be picturing many beautiful mountain peaks during this journey.

On reaching Badrinath, first you will check-in to your hotel room and then, you will walk up to the Badrinath Temple where you will have Darshan of this holy place and can also take a holy in the hot water spring i.e. Tapt Kund.

After satisfying Darshan, you will head back to your hotel room and enjoy your overnight stay.

Day 10 :Badrinath – Drive Back to Rudraprayag

Today, you can again go for a short Darshan of the Badrinath Temple and after that, you will be driving back to Rudraprayag via Joshimath.

You will enjoy a short stopover at Joshimath for snacks and a hot cup of tea. Then, resume your journey for Rudraprayag. On reaching Rudraprayag, you will check-in to your hotel room and enjoy your overnight stay.

Day 11 :Rudraprayag – Aarti at Rishikesh – stay at Haridwar

Today, you will drive into the downward direction for Rishikesh. After having an early morning breakfast, the driver will take to Rishikesh where you will enjoy a sightseeing tour of Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula.

And later, you will participate in the holy Aarti ritual performed at the banks of river Ganga by four popular saints. Afterwards, you will enjoy a ride to Haridwar where you will check-in to your hotel room and enjoy a good night sleep.

Day 12 :Haridwar – departure for Delhi

Today, the spiritual journey of yours will come to an end and after breakfast, you will enjoy a ride back to the place from where this spiritual journey began in the first place – Delhi.
