Seasons in Kedarnath

Summer – The summer season in Kedarnath lasts from the months of April / May to early July. The weather is pleasant and extremely charming which also increases the pure and untouched beauty of the surrounding valley. This is also the peak pilgrimage season when the temperature varies in between 10 to 18 degree Celsius and in some cases it can also go up to 22 degree Celsius. The days are cool and comfortable whereas the nights are very chilly and tough but not as tough as the ones experienced in the winter time. Monsoon – This season constitutes the months of early July to early September. Travelling is not recommended around this time and most of the services including the helicopter rides are suspended during the peak monsoon season. Sightseeing is not possible around this time and the temperature even drops around these months to as low as 10 to 12 degree Celsius.
